Italian Festival Returns to Hollywood: Fun, Formaggio, and Feasting

The 10th Annual Precious Cheese Italian Feast of San Gennaro will transform a piece of Hollywood into Little Italy during the weekend.

The 10th Annual Precious Cheese Italian Feast of San Gennaro is bringing a massive celebration of Italian culture to Hollywood for three days beginning today and continuing through Sunday Sept. 25.

The three-day festival includes plenty of Italian food, wine, fun and of course, formaggio (Italian for cheese). Throw in some star power with co-founders and hosts Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Carolla and you’ve got a feast to remember long after the last strand of spaghetti.

There will be nearly 30 vendors to pick and choose from – so have a little calamari here, some calzone there. If you start to get too full, the festival offers molto, molto entertainment. As in – a lot. There’ll be a tribute to Dean Martin, Italian storytelling, a unique way to play B-I-N-G-O, and the Jimmy Kimmel Band.

The festival lasts from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. each day at 1651 N. Highland Ave. (south of Hollywood Blvd). Admission is $5 and bambinos under 12 get in free.
