Sharareh Drury is an award-winning multimedia journalist as well as a producer, web/graphic designer and photographer in Los Angeles. She is a recent graduate from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism with a B.A. in Broadcast and Digital journalism, and an emphasis on American popular culture and the music industry.

While attending USC, Sharareh was active in several media platforms and held a key leadership role at the award-winning campus news operation, Annenberg TV News (ATVN). Along with producing, reporting, and anchoring for the newscast, she was the first-ever Multimedia Director on ATVN’s management team. She also wrote and edited stories for the acclaimed Daily Trojan student newspaper, and contributing feature stories to HerCampus’ USC section. At the Annenberg school, Sharareh also studied print, investigative and online journalism, spent a semester reporting on news in Santa Monica, and co-produced a documentary on Art Deco enthusiasts.

Sharareh has held prime internships with broadcast, print, and online organizations, including E! Online, NBC affiliate KNBC-Channel 4 News, the California HealthCare Foundation’s Center for Health Reporting, the Los Angeles Business Journal, and the Memphis Commercial Appeal. She has also volunteered for other organizational efforts and projects, such as the Global Poverty Project.

In high school, she won a National Student Television Award for Excellence from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for her documentary on survivors of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Sharareh is a music and television buff (her favorite band is Queen and favorite show is Friends). When she isn’t glued to the TV, she loves anything to do with the outdoors (surfing, camping, cross-country running etc.). Sharareh is also interested in learning about different cultures and customs around the world. This interest stems from her mixed ethnic background – her mother is Iranian/Armenian/Russian and her father is Irish/French/English.
