Deputy Attorney General and Echo Park Activist Josh Post will officially kick-off his campaign for the Los Angeles City Council in late April, with events throughout Los Angeles’ 13th Council District and Downtown. The “Kick-off Tour” will make stops in Silver Lake (April 24), Downtown (April 25), and Hollywood (April 26).

Post is running to represent L.A. City Council District 13, which includes Hollywood, Silver Lake, Echo Park, Atwater Village, Glassell Park, Elysian Valley, East Hollywood, Thai Town, Historic Filipinotown, and Little Armenia. This seat is being vacated by Councilmember Eric Garcetti in March 2013.

“The 13th District needs an advocate with fresh and innovative ideas who knows that change and revitalization is a collective effort,” said Post. “We are going to reform the City’s stranglehold on small business, bring the film industry back to Los Angeles, while fighting for equal distribution of public services in our underserved neighborhoods. It’s time to show, not tell, residents that government represents the people, not the special interests.”
