Congressman Xavier Becerra, who represents a southeast portion of Hollywood along with Echo Park, Eagle Rock, Mt. Washington and Highland Park, is hosting a coffee chat on deficit reduction. He was recently appointed to the to the 12-member bipartisan Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction, which is tasked with recommending measures to reduce our federal budget deficit during the next decade.
The town hall meeting is an opportunity for constituents to share their ideas on the issue with their congressman.
