GARCETTI, VOLUNTEERS WALK GLASSELL PARK NEIGHBORHOOD

Los Angeles City Councilmember Eric Garcetti was joined by dozens of volunteers for a Glassell Park neighborhood walk.  The group went door-to-door to hear from neighbors about their concerns and recommendations.

"Walking the neighborhoods of my Council District is one of my favorite ways to connect with people.  It's amazing what you can learn when you visit with people in their own neighborhoods and in their own homes," said Councilmember Eric Garcetti.

Tree trimming, sidewalk repair, and pedestrian safety were among the top concerns mentioned by Glassell Park residents.

"This walk is a little bittersweet because I won't represent much of Glassell Park once the newly redistricted council boundaries take effect, but my office will work closely with Councilmember Reyes's office to ensure a smooth transition," Garcetti added.
