Choi Leads City Council Race in Campaign Contributions, Spending

The Los Angeles City Ethics Commission reports the latest campaign financials for City Council District 13 candidates.

Los Angeles District 13 City Council candidate John Choi has raised more than $300,000 for his campaign, according to Los Angeles City Ethics Commission reports.

Choi is among 12 candidates running for the Los Angeles City Council 13th District seat in the primary elections to be held March 5.

Choi has raised approximately $336,783 in contributions, including matching funds, according to the City Ethics Commission's reporting through Feb. 16. View contribution details here. He also reports approximately $271,398.01 in expenses.

Candidate Alexander Cruz De Ocampo reports raising more than $250,000, including matching funds, and approximately $230,043.48 in expenses.

Assistant fire chief Emile Mack raised approximately $178,995.90, including matching funds, and approximately $149,942.69 in expenses, while former deputy mayor Matt Szabo raised approximately $212,183.34, including matching funds, and spent $180,697.79.
