Central Hollywood Neighborhood Council Election Filing Period Now Open

The deadline for candidates to file for a position on the advisory panel is Aug. 18.

Would you like to make a difference in our community? Consider joining the Board of Central Hollywood Neighborhood Council!

Neighborhood Councils were created to provide a link between the community and city government and to advise the decision makers on issues that affect our lives. To work we need to hear from you and we need your participation.

Four (4) seats on the current nine (9) seat CHNC Board expire in 2012. To file as a candidate for a seat on the CHNC Board with a four-year term (expires 2016), please click on the following link:  http://empowerla.org/chnc/ and then click the "ELECTIONS" button. The deadline to file is August 18, 2012.

The election will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2012 from 9 AM - 1 PM at Hollywood City Hall, 6501 Fountain Avenue (at Wilcox). Vote by mail applications will be available on July 18th. To provide you with general election information, outreach material and support, a candidates meeting is being planned for the last week of July (details coming soon - check our website: http://www.chnc.org/).

CHNC boundaries are Hollywood Boulevard to the North (south side), El Centro to the East, Melrose to Wilcox on the South, Wilcox to Willoughby on the West, Willoughby to La Brea on the South and La Brea to Hollywood Boulevard on the West.
