Nick Stahl Freed Following Arrest at Hollywood Adult Store

The actor was arrested Thursday night on suspicion of misdemeanor lewd conduct charges.

Actor Nick Stahl was free on his own recognizance today following his arrest by LAPD vice officers in a Hollywood adult store.

Undercover officers conducting a routine sweep found Stahl alone in a private booth, watching a video and committing a "lewd act," shortly after 8 p.m., multiple celebrity websites reported. When confronted by a video crew outside the LAPD's Hollywood Station, the 33-year-old actor characterized his arrest as "a misunderstanding."

Stahl, 33, who played John Connor in "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines," was booked on suspicion of misdemeanor lewd conduct charges and released a few hours later on his own recognizance, according to various reports.

Stahl made headlines earlier this year when he vanished for several days in May and again in July. His wife, Rose, said Stahl had been dealing with addiction problems at the time, according to People magazine.

"Undercover officers conducting a routine sweep found Stahl alone in a private booth, watching a video and committing a "lewd act," shortly after 8 p.m., multiple celebrity websites reported." How can there be lewd conduct when he was alone out of public view? Isn't there a 4th Amendment issue here about unreasonable searches and seizures without a warrant? As long as the LAPD squanders our money on this nonsense, they have too much money or the brass has too few brains. Are there really cops out there they WANT to be on the adult book store patrol? I doubt it. If any cop is hot for such an assignment, then he/she probably has "issues." Thus, I am guessing that most cops are forced by Councilmembers like Garcetti to peek into stalls to see who's doing what. And this bozo pervert wants to be Mayor?
