Man Stabbed Outside Hollywood Club

The wounds were not life-threatening.

A man was stabbed tonight inside the Club Lure in Hollywood but the wounds were not believed life-threatening, a Los Angeles police sergeant said.

The stabbing was reported at 8:50 p.m. inside Club Lure at 1439 Ivar Ave., Sgt. Chuck Slater said.

The wounds were "non-life-threatening," Slater said. "A couple of puncture wounds."

The suspect fled the scene but police had hopes of tracking down the assailant because "apparently there is a video," the sergeant said.

KCAL9 reported the stabbing was at a party on the eve of the BET (Black Entertainment Television) Awards show scheduled for Sunday evening at the Nokia Theatre.

The club was cleared but Slater said police didn't do the evacuating. Celebrants "self-evacuated," he said.
