Man Charged with Retired Hollywood High Teacher's Death
Harry Major, 82, was found dead in his apartment earlier this month.

A 44-year-old man was charged today with killing a retired Hollywood High School teacher who was found strangled in his apartment.
Scott Kratlian, who is also known as Scott Porter, is expected to be arraigned tomorrow in downtown Los Angeles.

He is accused of killing 82-year-old Harry Major, who was found dead around 7:20 p.m. Feb. 12 in his apartment in the 1400 block of North Vista Street in the Hollywood area.
Major was an English teacher at Hollywood High School for nearly 30 years and retired in the mid-1980s.

Kratlian was arrested Tuesday. His connection with Major was not immediately known.
