House on Fire in Hollywood

The flames are believed to be threatening an adjacent apartment building.

A fire damaged a home in Hollywood today and briefly threatened a next-door apartment building.

The blaze at 1937 N. Vista del Mar Ave. was reported at 3:39 p.m. and put out in 21 minutes, the Los Angeles Fire Department's Brian Humphrey. Most of the damage was to the front of the home, he said.

No injuries were reported.     

The 53 firefighters assigned to the blaze prevented the fire from spreading to an apartment building next door, he said.
