Four people were shot in Hollywood early Sunday morning as clubs and bars were closing up for the night, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

None of the injuries was considered life-threatening, said Karen Rayner of the LAPD's Media Relations Section.

A 22-year-old North Hollywood woman was shot in her buttocks. A 46- year-old man from Riverside and a 21-year-old woman from Riverside both received graze wounds to the sides of their heads. A 29-year-old man from Atlanta was shot in the leg.

The shootings occurred near a nightclub close to Franklin Avenue and Cahuenga Boulevard  around 3 a.m., Rayner said.  The shooter was described as a black man in his early 20s with a thin build. He was wearing a blue and white shirt and his hair was styled with multiple twists held with small rubber bands. The suspect may have fled in a blue Chevrolet El Camino, Rayner said.

"Witnesses reported seeing a fight break out in front of a nightclub that erupted in gunfire,'' Rayner said. "When the shooting began the witnesses ran for cover, and some of them boarded a party bus that was parked nearby.''
