Photographer Andy Romanoff of Hollywood was driving near his home Monday evening when he came upon a huge geyser shooting into the air.

"Approximately 6:30 p.m. this evening a driver missed the corner at Wilton and Rosewood and sheared off the fire hydrant," Romanoff said. "While undoubtedly damaged, the car ran well enough for the driver to leave the scene. Firefighters from Station 29 arrived within a few minutes and quickly brought the geyser under control.

"I was faced with an important decision, get my camera and make a picture or drive my car underneath the spout and get it washed," he said. "As you can see, I chose the camera, leaving the car to another day."
