Police Find Decomposed Body in Cahuenga Pass

The corner's investigators will attempt to determine the cause of death and identify the body.

A decomposing body was found in the Cahuenga Pass late Wednesday afternoon in an area frequented by transients.

The body was examined by Los Angeles police detectives, then turned over to coroner's investigators, police said.

Police received a report of a body on a hill on the side of the Hollywood (101) Freeway near the Mulholland Drive/Woodrow Wilson Drive bridge about 5 p.m., and someone led officers to the remains, Los Angeles Police Department Sgt. Sal Ogaz of the Hollywood Station said.

Officer Cleon Joseph said coroner's investigators would attempt to determine the cause of death and determine the person's name.
