Celebs, Bands, Entertainers to Appear in the Hollywood Christmas Parade

A look at the entertainers and distinguished guests scheduled to participate in the Hollywood Christmas Parade.

If you plan on attending the Hollywood Christmas Parade this Sunday, there will be plenty on hand to entertain you.

The parade kicks off at 6 p.m. with red carpet arrivals scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. at the corner of Sycamore Street and Hollywood Boulevard. The parade will start at Orange Street and Hollywood Boulevard, turn south onto Vine Street, and then travel west on Sunset Boulevard before returning to Orange Street.

Balloons, equestrians, and bands from California and across the country are flying in to participate. In addition to high school marching bands, the Marine Band San Diego will also take part in Sunday’s parade.

Gunnery Sgt. Devon Van said his approximately 40-member band is ready for the big day. The soldiers, some of whom, have done tours in Iraq offer something different than any other band.

“We’re still honest to goodness Marines,” he said. “We’re not just standard musicians, but war fighters.”
