Please join Project Angel Food on August 10th as the non-profit agency recognizes award-winning actress Jane Lynch and acclaimed celebrity chef and television personality Giada De Laurentiis at this year’s Angel Awards in Hollywood. Angel Awards honor corporate and community leaders, who help support Project Angel Food and its mission to feed men, women and children affected by life-threatening illnesses, as well as recognizing individuals who have contributed to our community on behalf of our neighbors in need.
Jane Lynch, star of “Glee,” will receive the Marianne Williamson Founder’s Award for her philanthropic leadership and advocacy on behalf of local-community based charities like Project Angel Food. Food Network star Giada De Laurentiis will be recognized with the inaugural Iconic Chef Award for her leadership in helping people connect delicious food with nutritious eating and a healthy lifestyle.
Angel Awards will take place al fresco in the organization’s “backyard” with dinner, featuring produce from the non-profit’s community gardens, expertly prepared in Project Angel Food’s kitchen. The evening will also feature a live performance by the Harvard Yardbirds, Harvard's acclaimed alumni a cappella group, silent and live auctions, and a star-studded, emotionally-charged awards ceremony.
