Relaxed Parking for the Passover Holidays

To accommodate people attending services and/or Passover Seders April 18 - 20, LADOT is relaxing parking restrictions throughout the Los Angeles area.

The Jewish holiday of Passover begins Monday at sundown. On the first two nights, people traditionally attend syngagogue services followed by meals  known as Seders at the homes of friends and family.

Knowing that many Angelenos will be heading out to celebrate the holiday, the Department of Transportation, Bureau of Parking Enforcement and Traffic Control plans to relax certain parking restrictions in specific areas of the city.

Fifth District Councilmember Paul Koretz has sent out a letter stating that there will be relaxed "enforcement of street cleaning, time limit and preferential parking restrictions" for both the Passover holiday and the upcoming June holiday of Shavuot (Feast of Weeks) on June 7. However, Koretz also stated that meters, tow away zones and other safety violations will be enforced.
