Winds Sweep Through Hollywood Overnight, Power Outage Reported

Service is interrupted to 1,000 residents in the Hollywood-Los Feliz area Wednesday night.

Two power outages, one in Silver Lake and the other in the area of Hollywood and Los Feliz, interrupted service to a total of 2,600 Los Angeles Department of Water and Power customers Wednesday night.

The DWP reported on its website around 10:30 p.m. that service was interrupted for 1,600 customers in Silver Lake and for another 1,000 in the Hollywood-Los Feliz area.

It was estimated that crews would take up to 10 hours to restore power in both areas, according to the DWP. By Thursday morning, it appeared that power had been restored  to most of the Hollywood area, according to DWP's Outage map.
