Hollywood Heritage Museum to Pay Tribute to Rudolph Valentino

Museum event: In honor of Rudolph Valentino’s May 6 birthday, will host a tribute at 7:30 p.m. tonight. Donna Hill, author of Rudolph Valentino, The Silent Idol: His Life in Photographs, will present a slide presentation of Valentino’s life. A screening of Blood and Sand and Rudolph Valentine and His 88 American Beauties is also planned. A collection of rare photographs and artifacts will be on display. Purchase tickets online.

New happy hour: We’ve learned that has rolled out its happy hour specials this week via its Facebook page. Stop by the bar from 4-7 p.m. and take advantage of $3 domestic beer, $5 wine and $5 drinks.

Plan ahead: If you're going to be in the area of Hollywood & Highland on May 19, you might want to find an alternative route. Westbound lanes of Hollywood Boulevard between Highland Avenue and Orange Drive will be closed from 10 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. to accommodate the premiere of The Hangover II at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre that evening.
