Operation Pothole Returns: Get Your Hollywood Roads Repaired

Report those potholes: Here’s your chance to get those pesky potholes on your street filled quickly. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and the Bureau of Street Services will enact "Operation Pothole" on June 4-5. If you have potholes that need repair, report them on the website or call 311.

Double feature: The Egyptian Theatre is offering double features of Alfred Hitchcock classics this week. On Thursday, see Rebecca and The 39 Steps beginning at 7:30 p.m. On Friday, Psycho and The Birds begin at 7:30 p.m. General admission tickets  are $11 per night.

Volunteer opportunity: The Hollywood YMCA postponed its Big Sunday event due to rain and has rescheduled it for May 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is hoping to repaint fences, walls, doors, bike racks, light poles and the flag pole, and do a bit of gardening. Deal alert: The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has a new online deal program called “Try It Local.” The featured deal of the day is a three-course meal and entertainment at Supper Club for $45, a $75 value.

Weather: Expect a sunny day with a high near 72 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight, we’ll have mostly clear skies with a low around 57 degrees. Sunrise: 5:38 a.m. Sunset 8:19 p.m.

Cheapest gas prices:  The cheapest gallon of regular gas is $3.95 at the Arco gas station at 6100 Franklin Ave. and Gower Street, according to LosAngelesGasPrices.com. The second-lowest price is $4.09 at the Mobil gas station at 5700 Hollywood Boulevard and Wilton Place.
