Hollywood Chamber of Commerce's Annual Summit to Take Place Next Month

The conference will place an emphasis on new media and technology companies.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is planning to host its annual economic development summit next month.

This year’s Hollywood Economic Development Summit will discuss ways to attract more new media and technology companies to the area. Kevin Winston, CEO and founder of Digital LA, is scheduled to speak.

John Mejia, sales manager at the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, said the summit is significant for anyone doing business in Hollywood.

"This yearly event provides important updates to our members, as well as other business leaders throughout the community, regarding issues pertaining to new development and challenges affecting the growth of Hollywood and some of our adjoining communities," Mejia said.

The 2013 Hollywood Economic Development Summit is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18, at the Mary Pickford Center at 1313 North Vine St. Advance tickets are $50, and tickets purchased at the door the day of the event are $60.

Students may also attend for a fee of $25. For more information, visit the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce online.
