Gas Prices Continue to Drop

The cheapest regular gasoline in Hollywood is $3.94 a gallon.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County decreased Thursday for the 30th consecutive day, falling 2.2 cents to $3.961, one day after dropping under $4 for the first time since Aug. 9.

The average price has decreased 74.4 cents over the past 30 days, including 2 cents on both Tuesday and Wednesday, after rising 50.4 cents over the previous seven days and reaching a record high of $4.705 on Oct. 9, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

In Hollywood, the cheapest regular gasline is $3.94 at the Mobile station at 5857 W Sunset Blvd. For more options, view Hollywood Patch's commute section.

The average price is 16.4 cents less than one week ago and 74.2 cents lower than one month ago, but 9.6 cents higher than one year ago.

The Orange County average price decreased today for the 31st consecutive day, falling 2.1 cents to $3.899, the lowest amount since Aug. 8.

The Orange County average price has decreased 79.1 cents over the past 31 days, including 2.4 cents on Wednesday, after rising 51.3 cents over the previous six days to a record high of $4.69 on Oct. 8.

The Orange County average price is 17 cents less than one week ago and 79.1 cents lower than one month ago, but 5.7 cents higher than one year ago.
