Hi there,

I strongly dissuade anybody from renting within the Chateau Alto Nido apartments on Ivar Ave. in Hollywood, CA, in it’s current state. At present, management is simply in shambles. The current manager is without a doubt the worst thing to happen to this building, even counting the bedbugs. At least with bed bugs you can purchase some remedy. You know the saying you can’t buy class? That would be the remedy, but you can’t buy it. I have witnessed her lose her mind on tenants in a manner of unprofessionalism akin to childish tantrums. I’ve read apartment wide letters with passive aggressive paragraphs in it clearly directed to specifically one tenant. There is no need for childish facebook type tactics in my apartment from management. I understand that posting this may be hypocritical but please, heed this warning.

On top of her lack of poise and tact, the building has been without heat since before Christmas. She managed to get it working for less than a day. Her temporary solution was electric heaters which then overload the old circuitry in the building and blow the breakers, thusly rendering them useless. Also the elevator has been broken for a similar amount of time. She did manage to get it working for less than a day. It remains out of order. She seems more interested in covering her superiors behinds, then the tenants.

Now please keep in mind that the latter two shutdowns were completely avoidable and fixable. The previous manager kept it all in order for years without a hitch. Nothing electrically or mechanically changed when she took over. She simply brought her poor human interaction and management skills in lieu of competency.

In conclusion, until management improves, rent elsewhere and have a good day.
