Hollywood Chamber Launches 'Try It Local' Online Deal Program

The site features businesses offering 40 to 90 percent off products, services and restaurants in the Hollywood area.

With deal of the day websites proliferating on the Internet, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is jumping in on the action with its Try It Local program that launched this week.

The online deal program offers consumers 40 to 90 percent off local retailers, restaurants and services. The program aims to encourage businesses to explore new venues and drive new customers to local businesses.

“The Try It Local program is an effort by the Hollywood Chamber to enable our members to have another means to get exposure for their businesses,” Leron Gubler, president and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber, said in a news release. “It’s a program that has been successful in other parts of the country and other chambers of commerce and we thought of bringing it to Hollywood. It is a much more beneficial program than other coupon business models,” Gubler added.
