Valentine's Celebration at Christmas in Hollywood

Christmas in Hollywood at the Hollywood & Highland Center (3rd floor, next to Hot Topic) is hosting its first annual Sweethearts of Hollywood celebration on Saturday, Feb. 11, with special sales and contests to honor Valentine's Day.

Promotions include:

  • Couples coming in together get a 10 percent discount on any purchase by entering in the Best Couples Photo contest, or by submitting an entry for the Best How We Met Story contest. Winners for each category will be selected by Feb. 12, and will receive a $25 store credit on any product they want.
  • All 100+ styles of ornaments for couples will be at 20 percent off, even for people who come in alone.
  • Anyone who comes dressed in a Valentine's theme will be rewarded with a discount from 10-25 percent (discount judged by the store management) on any products they choose.  Photos will be taken for their Facebook page, and the best Valentine's costume wins a $25 gift certificate from the store, awarded on Feb. 12.
  • Any purchase made provides every customer with a raffle entry for prizes to be drawn throughout the day.

Pictured here is their Proposal Ornament, and anyone who uses it to propose can send a photo and story entry of what happened.  Every entry will win something, and there will be a Grand Prize of $50 Gift Certificate awarded to the best entry in the contest.

The store plans to host events for other holidays throughout the year, including St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Independence Day, and Halloween.

When asked how these ideas fit into a Christmas store theme, manager Michael Borden explains, "Christmas in Hollywood is a State of Mind in the City of Dreams. We bring Christmas joy to every occasion, all year long."
