MOMS Club of Hollywood Aims to Support Local Mothers

Saving lives is the subject of the organization's meeting this month.

The MOMS Club of Hollywood wants to help support Hollywood moms while also using this month’s meeting to teach them to save lives.

The group will host a CPR and first aid class at its meeting on Friday. MOMS, which stands for Moms Offering Moms Support, serves an important role in Hollywood, according to president Vanessa Case.

“The chapter is a wonderful way to get to know other moms in the area. It can be difficult to find a sense of community in a large city, especially an area like Hollywood, where people come and go frequently,” Case said. “It also gives stay at home moms a support system. I felt very isolated when I had my first child and now my son and I have so many wonderful friends we never would have met without our club.”

Friday’s meeting will focus on CPR and first aid for babies and young children and will be taught by a registered nurse, according to Case.

It is also open to local mothers who are not yet members of the group, Case said.
