Update: Arrest Made in Walk of Fame Shooting

Jorge Tejeda is booked shortly after the killing of 19-year-old Jesse Medina on Sunday.

Update Oct. 10, 5:11 p.m.: The Los Angeles Police Department released the name of the suspect arrested on suspicion of killing 19-year-old Jesse Medina. Jorge Tejeda, also 19, was booked Sunday in the fatal shooting early that morning on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. Police say they found Tejeda near the crime scene after the shooting. He is currently being held in lieu of $2 million bail.

Police have not revealed a possible motive.

Medina was fatally shot outside at 6705 Hollywood Blvd. at approximately 3 a.m. Sunday.

Police found Medina suffering from a gunshot wound and lying across the sidewalk, on a section of the Walk of Fame. Medina was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and pronounced dead at approximately 4 a.m.

Update Oct. 9, 7:38 p.m.: The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed this evening that a male suspect has been booked on suspicion of shooting a 19-year-old man early this morning in front of Stefano's Two Guys From Italy Restaurant. Police have not released any details about the suspect.

City News Service identified the victim as Jesse Medina of Hollywood.

Oct. 9 9:46 a.m.: At approximately 3 a.m., a 19-year-old man was shot outside of at 6705 Hollywood Blvd., according to the Los Angeles Police Department. When police arrived at the scene, they said the victim was lying across the sidewalk. He was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and pronounced dead at 4 a.m., said police. Police were searching for a suspect Sunday morning.

According to KTLA, witnesses at the scene said the man was shot four times in the chest after getting into a fight with the shooter. Police have not released the name of the victim or any details about a possible suspect or motive.
