Man Fires Weapon Outside Hollywood Nightclub
Police report a security guard and a woman were on thigh after an unruly man, who was escorted out of a club, fired a handgun from his car early Friday morning.
A man who had been escorted out of a Hollywood night club for being unruly fired a weapon at the establishment today, slightly wounding a security guard and a patron, police said.
The shooting occurred at La Vida Restaurant and Lounge at 1448 N. Gower St. around 1 a.m., said an officer at the Los Angeles Police Department's Hollywood Station.
The officer said a man in his 20s who was lead out of the club along with two friends by security staff for being unruly retrieved a handgun from his car down the street and fired in the direction of the club, hitting a male security guard in the thigh and grazing a female patron, also in the thigh.
