Meltdown Comics & Collectibles is the largest pop culture emporium west of the Rockies with 9,000 square feet of space. Located on a famous part of Sunset Strip called Rock 'n' Roll Row, home to the Rock Star Walk of Fame, it carries mainstream, small-press and European comic books. A variety of coordinating accessories is also available, including collectibles, vintage Japanese robots, Kotobukiya <i>Star Wars</i> model kits, Transformers and exclusive <i>Chicken Little </i>vinyl toys. The "Baby Melt" section features Cheburashka and Hello Kitty by Doe merchandise, as well as baby clothes. The store even has a gallery, which showcases artists like Steven Weissman, who is responsible for the Bazaar Bizzare logos, and Johnny Ryan, creator, writer and illustrator of Angry Youth Comix. New shipments arrive on Wednesdays.
