Huston's Texas Pit Bar-B-Cue is in a very narrow, and long yellow building, across the street from Capital City on Cahuenga. Established in 1944, this small, funky shack surrounded by a U-shaped parking lot serves BBQ that's fantastic -- ranks above most of the low-end joints in the Cahuenga Corridor. The saucy, smoky barbecued beef sandwich is the best thing on the menu. The ribs (they have beef and pork) are cooked to perfection and are drenched with a tasty homemade BBQ sauce. Across the board, Huston's prices are quite reasonable and the staff is quick and courteous.
