The Hollywood Bowl has entertained Los Angeles-area residents for almost 80 years. It opened in 1921 as an outdoor venue where the Los Angeles Philharmonic performed. The 17,000-plus seat venue is built into a natural canyon of the Hollywood Hills. The stage, which is surrounded by a half-dome, was designed by Lloyd Wright, son of the famous Frank.

During the day and on non-event nights, many people come and picnic beneath the park's beautiful greenery or right in the viewing area, where box seats are ideal for sitting and picnicking. Guests are eclectic, from popular rap groups and travelling musical tours to the L.A. Philharmonic, a summer resident of the Bowl. Bring food and drinks, or pick up a bite a the Patina restaurant, which will also deliver to your seat.
