First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood

<p>First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood is a massive complex located at the intersection of Gower Street and Carlos Avenue. The church grounds take up the entire block and include three chapels, a theater, a school and a trio of parking lots.</p> <p>The church was established in 1903 by the Rev. Dr. Henry Newell and his wife, Lizzie. Today it is led by pastor Dan Baumgartner. Church events include the foster- and adoptive-family picnic, weekly intercessory prayer and the Good and Beautiful Life Dinner.  </p> <p>The church also sponsors international missionary work to Africa and the Middle East. Services are offered in English and Spanish. </p>
