Boy Scouts Lift Gay Youth Ban: What Do You Think?

By Redmond Carolipio

Openly gay young people will be able to join the Boy Scouts of America at the start of 2014, the result of the organization lifting its ban on gay youth at its annual meeting in Texas recently. But a ban on gay scout leadership is still in place.

"We are disappointed that it doesn't include everybody," said Alan Snyder, chairman of the board of the Western Los Angeles County Council of the Boy Scouts of America, to the Los Angeles Times. "Inclusive should be all-inclusive."

Patch Asks: What do you think of gays finally being able to join the Boy Scouts? Let us know in the comments.
