Free Kids Bike Day!

Kidsbikeday.com will be hosting a free kids bike day on Saturday, August 6th, from Noon- 3 pm, at The Lasky-DeMille Barn in Hollywood!   There will be many free bikes to use, bike riding lessons for kids of all sizes, and FREE REPAIRS of all toys and bikes. We will also have trikes, wagons, scooters, and pedal toys. Boys and girls of all ages are invited to come and try out the many toys. Even parents will find something to ride!

*** We now have about 35 bikes, and we had a blast with 2 new bikes last time! One is a crazy spinner hot-rod big wheel, and the other is a  3-wheeled chopper! Come and join the fun!

Please see videos, photos, schedule and more at:  www.kidsbikeday.com

We will be playing in an area that is large and flat and without any obstacles. If your kids are really young, bring them to practice walking or ride in the wagons. Most kids get going on the bikes within minutes when they see all the other kids (and adults) on bikes.

Parents will be responsible for all safety equipment if you feel your child needs it  (helmets, elbow pads, etc).  You are invited to bring drinks or snacks and any wheeled toys you have around the house (even the broken ones, we may be able to fix them) but, you don't have to bring anything to join in the fun, just come on down!

So please join in the fun at the FREE kids bike day!

Saturday, August 6th, from Noon- 3 pm,
The Lasky DeMille Barn on the corner of Highland and Odin streets in Hollywood (across from the Hollywood Bowl).
For any questions please feel free to email us:  terry@kidsbikeday.com

** It has come to our attention that many kids don't have the time or space to learn the joy of riding wheeled toys. Most kids cannot learn to ride a bike on a regular city sidewalk or a patio/driveway, it's too bumpy or small and there are too many obstacles!  Bikes, wagons, and skates are extremely important in the development of young childrens lives. They provide the first responsibility, the first independence, educate on gravity and balance, instill tons of confidence and provide much needed exercise for growing bones. Kids are naturally curious and adventurous, but they don't seem to want to ride until they get into a large area with no obstacles see other kids and adults having fun riding, and that's what this day is all about. If your bikes have flat tires or other small repairs we can fix them free of charge!
