Dodgers to Honor Hollywood Veteran

The Dodgers will also conduct Taiwan Night at the game against the San Diego Padres.

The Los Angeles Dodgers will honor a Hollywood man for his military service during Tuesday's game.

Marine Corps Cpl. Ray Flennaugh, of Hollywood, will be honored as the Veteran of the Game. Flennaugh served with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit deployed to the Persian Gulf and served in Somalia in support of Operation Restore Hope. He was awarded the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Joint Meritorious Medal and National Defense Medal.

The Dodgers will also conduct Taiwan Night at the game against the San Diego Padres at Dodger Stadium, with pregame festivities including a drum and dance performance.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 5:30 p.m. in Parking Lot G for a lantern from the Taiwanese Lantern Festival. The lantern is making its debut in the United States and will be on display until May 15.

Taiwan Tourism Bureau Director General David Hsieh will throw a ceremonial first pitch.

Another ceremonial first pitch will be thrown by Pete Wentz, the frontman of the pop punk band Fall Out Boy.
