Hollywood Students Shine Bright at StarFest

After-school arts program LACER organizes the music and dance show at Hollywood High School on Saturday night.

Nonprofit after-school arts and literacy program LACER held its end-of-school music and dance performance at Hollywood High School in front of a full house Saturday.

Parents and students packed the auditorium for StarFest. They came to support the kids and watch the program's 21 acts, which students had worked on with performing arts teachers for months.

"I'm pretty sure this is the happiest day of my life," eighth-grader Hilda Franco said after she finished her dance performance.
