If you have or know incoming 6th or 7th graders, there is an extraordinary new charter school opening in the fall -- The City School. This is an amazing opportunity to get into the kind of school that in a year hundreds of families will be saying, "You're SO lucky you got in!" They have a couple spots left for 6th and 7th grade this fall. This is such an exceptional opportunity for students to receive a top-notch education at a tuition-free public charter school!
The City School will start with grades 6 and 7 this year, adding a grade each year to eventually be a 6-12 school. Class size is 14-24 kids per class (English is 14 kids), PE every day outside, and daily language class, options including Spanish, Hebrew, French, or Mandarin.
The campus is located at 1518 S Robertson Blvd. (south of Pico). The City School is a public charter school providing an exceptional education to a diverse student body. Through individual attention in a supportive and dynamic learning environment, students become creative and critical thinkers who ask questions, debate, and express ideas fearlessly and respectfully. With a focus on civic responsibility, public speaking, and the written word, City School students are prepared for a lifetime of meaningful work and ongoing service to causes greater than themselves.
We offer small class sizes, a warm, nurturing and caring student body and faculty, and a hands-on learning environment that is based on the constructivist model, emphasizing discussion and debate, writing, complex reasoning, and critical thinking. Click link for more information.
