Xai Lounge Wants to Sell Booze, Extend Hours

A representative for the restaurant will meet Wednesday with the Hollywood Hills West Neighborhood Council Area 7 Committee.

The Hollywood Hills West Neighborhood Council Area 7 Committee on Wednesday will consider an application from Xai Verandah Lounge to sell a full line of alcoholic beverages and extend hours at the restaurant.

The restaurant is seeking a conditional use permit to sell alcohol and hold happy hour at the 160-seat hookah lounge and eatery, as well as to extend its hours. Xai Verandah Lounge is currently open until 11 p.m. The application requests hours be extended to midnight Monday through Wednesday, and to 2 a.m. Thursday through Sunday.

The Los Angeles Department of City Planning will consider the application at a public hearing scheduled for 10 a.m. Jan. 22 at Los Angeles City Hall, 200 North Spring Street, in room 1020.
