Pink's Hot Dogs is "Small Business of the Year"

Assemblymember Mike Feuer (D-Los Angeles), whose district includes Hollywood, has named Pink's Hot Dogs Assembly District 42's "Small Business of the Year."  

The famous eatery, at 709 North La Brea Ave., is owned by Richard, Gloria and Beverly Pink.

Feuer said the honor is only fitting given the large number of customers who consistently stand in line for one of the restaurant's famous hot dogs, referring to Pink's as a "Los Angeles institution."

"Pink’s owners exemplify the small business spirit by generously giving their time and resources back to our community," Feuer said.

In addition to its economic value, the restaurant was also recognized for its commitment to the community by supporting local causes and making donations to charitable organizations.

Pink's began in 1939 as a hot dog stand opened by Paul and Betty Pink.
