Neighborhood Council Election Filing Period Begins July 18

Neighborhood Council elections are approaching and voters within the Hollywood Hills West area will pick 23 representatives in the fall.

The first step in the process kicks off July 18 when the filing period for the candidates opens to stakeholders. The elected representatives will advise the city on issues of concern to the neighborhood and decide how to distribute some discretionary spending for community activities.

In-person candidate registration, stakeholder verification and photos will take place July 18 from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m at the Woman's Club of Hollywood, 1749 N. La Brea Ave. After July 18 candidates can file online, by mail or by fax. Forms include:

Candidates should bring picture identification to verify stakeholder status within HHWNC boundaries.

"Write-in" candidates will not be allowed this year. Make sure your name is on the ballot and submit your Candidate form by the Aug. 16 deadline.
