GARCETTI, GLASSELL PARK VOLUNTEERS CLEAN UP NEIGHBORHOOD

L.A. City Council President Eric Garcetti joined the Los Angeles Police Department and other neighborhood organizations and volunteers at a community clean-up of Glassell Park on Saturday.

"I want to thank the dozens of local residents and volunteers who demonstrated their commitment to improving their neighborhood by helping to beautify it and keep it clean," said Garcetti.

Volunteers picked up trash, raked leaves, weeded, and more in the area around the Glassell Park Recreation Center.  Garcetti and volunteers also walked door-to-door to let neighbors know about the clean-up and hear from them about their concerns and ideas.
