Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Burbank) plans to visit Hollywood High School on Wednesday to talk to students about his job in Washington, DC.
The Congressman will meet with two social science classes and take questions from students.
Schiff was recently sworn in to represent the newly drawn 28th Congressional District.
"We have so much to accomplish over the next two years," Schiff said in a statement. "It's my hope that we can work together on both sides of the aisle to tackle some of our country's most pressing challenges – restoring jobs and the economy, cutting our debt and deficit, finding commonsense solutions to gun violence, and continuing to bolster our national security."
Schiff previously co-sponsored a bill requiring the Federal Aviation Administration regulate the use of helicopters in residential areas.
