Big Wangs, Las Palmas Project on Agenda
Neighborhood Council committee to discuss the increased seating capacity at Big Wangs restaurant and a proposed development on Las Palmas Avenue.
The Central Hollywood Neighborhood Council's Planning and Land Use Committee meets tonight at 6:15 p.m.
The committee is scheduled to hear a presentation on the construction of an office building and multi-level parking garage on a 12-acre site at 1040 N. Las Palmas Ave.
It is also to hear from a representative of Big Wangs regarding the number of seats in the bar/restaurant. Though the business' original floor plan called for 84 seats, there are currently 238 seats.

The committee will also discuss Preferential Parking Districts in Hollywood and open doors and windows in Hollywood restaurants.

B) Big Wangs, 1558-1564 Cahuenga Blvd.: renewal of ZA 2010-0891(CUB), CHNC supported the renewal of this CUB in January 2011. The floor plan presented reflected 84 seats. The seat count has increased to 238. The Zoning Administrator has asked the Applicant to come back to the Neighborhood Council and seek our opinion regarding this increased capacity. C) Preferential Parking Districts (PPD’s) in CHNC: Discussion, ideas and planning for expansion and addition of PPD’s within CHNC boundaries.
D) Open Windows/Doors in Restaurants: within CHNC, L.A. County, and beyond.
