Winter Storm Warning for Mountains Where Dorner Search is Under Way

Overnight lows in the Big Bear area Thursday into Friday could fall below 20 degrees Fahrenheit, and below 10 degrees Friday into Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

Winter storm conditions are forecast for the mountains northeast of Redlands and Loma Linda, where a massive manhunt was under way Thursday evening for Christopher Jordan Dorner, a Navy reservist fired by the LAPD wanted in connection with three killings, including a Riverside police officer.

Overnight lows in the Big Bear area Thursday into Friday could fall below 20 degrees Fahrenheit, and below 10 degrees Friday into Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

Snow is likely tonight and tomorrow, forecasters said.

"A cold Pacific storm will bring significantly colder air to the region as well as lower elevation snow," the Weather Service advised in a winter weather statement. "Snow levels will quickly fall tonight to around 5,000 feet . . . before plunging on Friday to near 3,000 feet."

Showers are likely Thursday night in the Redlands-Loma Linda area with overnight lows in the mid 40s. Daytime highs Friday are expected to remain below 50, and overnight lows in the mid 30s Friday into Saturday.

they found his truck at what time? and it wasn't even smoldering, while everyone was still looking for his truck and plate numbers. scumbag has a majority of resources on that mountain going door to door , SWATT chasing foot prints FBI checking cars, large amount of S.B.S.D. deputies on the mountain..I mean am I the only one who thinks he his a piece of sh***t,,but has tactics..He was off that Mountain around afternoon time. Probably in New Mexico by now. Come back in a Month when he can lay low and cary out his madness without all the police everywhere. Sorry but thats what a good cop would do ..think like a crook. but he was NEVER that...

If he got off the mountain quickly, he makes LE look bad or at least slow, , if he is up there with supplies and gear, he can draw this out for a while, but he won't get away, but if he was planning some grand shoot-out in the pines without thinking it through, he's in for a slow, painful end, which he certainly deserves,

He is a crook. He is murderer of an innocent couple and a young police officer. Obviously the LAPD flushed him as soon as he got back from his military active duty. The guy is subhuman coward, and a legend in his own twisted mind. The tactic of trying to steal a boat in San Diego and then fowling the prop and tying up an old man shows he is an amateur jerk looking for notoriety. He is nothing but vermin and should be exterminated. The hunter has turned into the hunted. When confronted, he will probably blow his own brains out like most of these cowards; unable to face the music for the harm he has brought to the two families in the Irvine incident and the innocent police officers he tried to murder.
