Suspicious Vehicle Prompts Hollywood Boulevard Closure

Los Angeles police find no explosives in the truck near Hollywood & Highland on Tuesday afternoon.

If you heard helicopters hovering over Hollywood & Highland on Tuesday afternoon that's because police were investigating a suspicious vehicle parked on the 6800 block of Hollywood Boulevard.

The incident was reported at 11:40 a.m. and prompted a road closure on Hollywood Boulevard between Highland Avenue and Orange Drive.

Los Angeles police were investigating the vehicle as traffic was routed away from the area. No explosives were found, said an LAPD spokesman.

Renzy Bryant, who works at a Hollywood & Highland store, said some retailers evacuated their employees as a precaution.

Bryant stood by at the corner of Highland Avenue with fellow employees, as police conducted their investigation.
