Suspect Not Yet Identified in Hollywood Nightclub Shooting

Police are asking the public to come forward with any information regarding Sunday's fatal shooting.

Police have not yet identified a suspect in a fatal Hollywood shooting that took place early Sunday morning outside a popular nightclub.

One man was shot and killed outside the Empire Club on North Cahuenga Boulevard and others were injured. A fight inside the club spilled outside, where the gunman shot into a crowd and struck a man, who was later pronounced dead, police said.

One person was seriously assaulted during the fight and treated for numerous abrasions and lacerations to the face and head, LAPD Lt. Marc Reina said.

The gunman fled before officers arrived on the scene.

Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call the LAPD Hollywood Division at 213-972-2972.
