Shots Fired Outside Hollywood Club

Police were unable to locate a suspect or a victim.

Shots were fired outside a Hollywood club early this morning, causing police to cordon off a perimeter to search for suspects or victims, but they found neither, a sergeant said.

Police heard shots somewhere in Hollywood around 2:30 a.m., then heard more shots and traced them to a parking structure at Hollywood Boulevard and Las Palmas Avenue, said Sgt. G. Newton of the Los Angeles Police Department's Hollywood Station.

Police set up a perimeter in the area and found empty shell casings in the parking structure but no victim or suspect, Newton said.

"At the end of the day there was nothing," he said.

The parking structure was outside a club where a post-Black Entertainment Television awards party had taken place, he said.
