Robber Steals Purse from Woman, Uses Pepper Spray
Police report the man stole a woman's purse on the 1800 block of North Wilton Place after temporarily blinding the victim with pepper spray early Thursday morning.
A man used pepper spray to temporarily blind a woman before stealing her purse in Hollywood early today.
The robbery in the 1800 block of North Wilton Place occurred around 12:45 a.m., said Sgt. George Hoops of the Los Angeles Police Department's Hollywood Station.
Officers helped remove the pepper spray from her eyes, he said. The robber took off in an unknown direction, he said. No description was immediately available.
