Puddle of Mudd Singer Released on Bail After Hollywood Arrest

Wesley Scantlin is arrested on a pair of outstanding warrants.

The lead singer of the rock band Puddle of Mudd was free on bail Wednesday following his arrest in Hollywood on a pair of outstanding warrants.

Wesley Reid Scantlin, 40, was released on $11,167 bail at about 4:30 a.m., according to jail records.

The Missouri native was stopped by Los Angeles police near Sunset Plaza and Evanview drives late Tuesday night, according to Richard French of the LAPD's Media Relations Section.

The nature of the warrants was not immediately known. Los Angeles County prosecutors said Scantlin was previously assigned to a diversion program in connection with a 2012 cocaine-possession case. The website TMZ.com reported that one of the warrants related to that case, and the other involved driving on a suspended license.

Scantlin was arrested in September at an airport in Austin, Texas, for allegedly being combative with a flight attendant, but no charges were filed, according to TMZ.
