Police Seek Tips in String of Fairfax Corridor Robberies

Authorities say two robbers used fear and the threat of a gun while committing a rash of robberies in the span two hours on Fairfax Avenue Wednesday.

If so, Los Angeles police want to hear from you as they investigate a string of street roberries that began near Fairfax Avenue and Beverly Boulevard and continued north on Fairfax.

A two-hour series of robberies began around 7 p.m. Wednesday. Police are seeking two robbers who demanded cash, wallets cellphones and personal property from male victims walking on the street.

No weapons were reported, but victims say the robbers used fear and the threat of a gun to commit the robberies.

The suspects were described to be in their 20s, 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall, and weighing between 150 to 190 pounds. One suspect had his hair in cornrows.

The robbers may have changed their head gear, according to a news alert from the Los Angeles Police Department. Victims described the suspects as wearing either a dark beanie cap, a dark hoodie shirt and still another said one suspect was wearing a red "do-rag."

They may have been driving a 1990s tan Oldsmobile sedan with a partial California license plate of "432."
